I had thought about getting up for this game but decided against it when I went to bed. I was in need of a decent kip and didn't want to run the risk of being too tired for tonight's matches which of course include England.

    You're not watching many games. Go nocturnal! Forget about daylight for a couple of weeks! It's only once every four years etc.

    Yeah, I know, but I am also having too much fun in the surf.

    When I get a job I wont be able to do that.

    And I'll definitely be awake for all of the knock-out games. That's when the fun really starts.
