I chose to miss this game and catch up on some sleep. It's a shame I missed the penalty shoot-out though. Hopefully they'll be more during the tournament as they are exciting to watch.
So the Swiss must be gutted to be knocked out without actually conceding a goal during the tournament.
And it's Italy vs Ukraine in the next round. Boring.

Well you didn't really miss much. I'd say that was probably the worse game of the tournament so far (except for the shoot-out), the Swiss played for the 0-0 from the start.

Yes, incredibly drab affair. We listened to the radio 5 commentary with the TV coverage, mainly because BBC1 had Mick McCarthey again. The radio commentators ran out of superlatives to describe how dull the match was, and were praying for the end so they could go back to the hotel.
At least one good stat came out of the game...Before last night, Switzerland had never even taken a pentaly in the World Cup finals. Now they've taken three, and missed them all.

I'm glad I missed it.
I am hoping Argentina beat the Germans, then beat Ukraine in the semi-final, who I hope beat Italy because of what they did to the Roos. And then I want to see England stuff the Argentinians in the final. That would be class.
