Big Boats!
I'm not really a boat fan (unless it's a speedboat - more of that to follow soon). But I was quite interested in seeing the QM2 and QE2 in Sydney Harbour on Tuesday.
I had a cracking view of the QE2 as it came into the harbour amid a flotilla of boats. I was on the ferry on the way home. It was full of commuters and tourists, most of whom were trying to get a good view. I have never seen so many old people move so quickly.
I actually found myself sitting in a plum seat on the best side of the ferry to see the QE2 as it passed Bradley's Head. The view of the setting sun, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge was stunning. Unfortunately I forgot my camera.
There's some good pictures here and here.
The QM2 arrived at dawn on Tuesday and left for Hong Kong that night. The QE2 leaves Sydney tomorrow.
