And The Winner Is.....

I watched this film in the week.

It's the best film I've seen in a long, long time. In fact, it's probably the best one I've seen since leaving the UK.

Mind you, I've seen some absolute garbage recently, 'The Pursuit of Happyness' and 'The Last King of Scotland' being two that spring to mind.

And to think that the Last King of Scotland won the Best Actor ward

Nice - I'll be sure to check it out.

I've downloaded, but still haven't watched 'Pan's Labyrinth', which is allegedly the best film of 2006.

But I have recently watched, and can highly recommend 'Hard Candy'... if you enjoy being made to feel incredibly uncomfortable while watching a movie, that is. It doesn't get much better than this!

Thanks for the tip. H and I nearly hired that one out once but ended up putting it back on the shelf.

I'm not one to enjoy feeling uncomfortable whilst watching a film but I expect we will watch it at some point.

The last film to make me feel pretty uncomfortable was "Boys Don't Cry". Have you seen that one?

    Can't say I have.

Hard Candy is the first film in ages where I've had to look away from the screen and cringe. In fact, Chew left the room to get a drink at the crucial moment cos he couldn't handle it. Quality stuff!
