Poland 0 Ecudaor 2

Ok, so I failed on the second hurdle.

A combination of beer and cheap wine meant that I was fighting off the tiredness at 5am this morning and I decided to throw the towel in and call it a day twenty minutes into this game. It's a bit of a shame that I did really, as I read that Ecuador scored their first goal four minutes after I turned the TV off.

It was also annoying that the local birds, that live in the pine trees over the road, begun their dawn chorus an hour and a half before dawn even started.

At least the pressure if off now and I don't have to sit through dead-rubber final group matches.

I've just watched the highlights on the internet. Those pesky broadcasting restrictions meant that I couldn't watch highlights on the BBC's website, but the Offical World Cup site didn't let me down.

Some challenge that was. What a let down.

    Haha..yeah. What a failure!

I'll take the ridicule on the chin - it can go alongside the rather nice, but small, graze I have from surfing.
