H's 29th Birthday
30th December 2006
Falling as it does, H's birthday celebrations usually ensure that everyone is hanging for New Years Eve. This time around she decided to arrange a "boozy lunch" at The Blackbird Cafe in Darling Harbour. Starting at 2pm, the plan was to have a few drinks and a bite to eat, before everyone went their separate ways, feeling fresh for New Years Eve. H booked a table for 30 people. I think it was probably her biggest birthday celebration to date.
Needless to say, it set the bar for all future celebrations.
Everyone was pretty much kicked out of the restaurant at 10pm, by which time I was taking H home in a taxi as she couldn't walk, let alone remember the firemen! This was the turning point (although from the sound of it, I think everyone was well on their way by then).

Ah, the tequila turning point...no going back from there.
I noticed one in one of the signs as well that there was 50% off drinks - obviously illegal to leave before or during that hour as well!

Yep, there was no leaving before or during the Happy Hour. I think that was when most of us hit the cocktails.
All is good here Kim. I hope you are settling back in ok. And there's plenty more blogs to come.....

Ah, nice pics and vid, shame I couldn't be there.

Haha, well the table size actually made us look like we have more Sydney mates than we actually do (mind you, a few of those invited couldnt make it)! Some people had friends over to stay so they were welcome to come along, which they did. They then became our new friends!
Yeah, it was a shame that you and the rest of the Bristol crowd weren't there. But start saving your pennies as plans will soon be made for H's 30th.....

Jonny, are you using some of my photos without crediting me?!
It's hard to believe that was less than a month ago. Seems a lot longer ago to me. Probably because we did so much stuff after that. What a top H's birthday it was, and no mistake.

Haha, I think so. Sorry. But seeing as you can't be arsed to update your blog, I think I have every right to use some of your snaps ;)
Yep - it was a great birthday. I hope you and Ella will be with us for her 30th, wherever that may be!
