Catching Up!

Ok, H and I have just had one of the best holidays in the world ever. And we didn’t even go anywhere. We just had lots of friends from the UK over to visit. Most of them have gone now. We were very sad. But normality is being restored. We are going to a free Jazz festival in the Botanical Gardens on Saturday and some of our friends are taking us out on a 32 foot boat on the Hawkesbury River on Sunday. Christmas may have been and gone, and we are falling head first into 2007, but Summer here. It could be worse!

Apart from the obvious downside of the holiday (it ending) I now have to spend hours online writing about it.

I don't much fancy doing it now, mainly because I have enjoyed spending time away from the laptop, but also because I have no idea where to start. I've got more than 2000 pictures to look through (plus those taken by Mike and Ella).

Also, sorry for not catching up on your blog if you have one. I will get round to it at some point (and I am looking forward to doing so).

Here's a list of things I have to cover, including a few that are coming up;

Royal Randwick Race Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
The Spit Bridge to Manly Walk

The Orbit Bar
The Winchesters Arrive
H's 29th Birthday
New Years Eve (next to the steps of the Opera House!)
New Years Day – Field Day

Chewie Winchester's 33rd Birthday
The Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach Coastal Walk
The 4th Day of the 5th Test
The Winchester's Last Night

Skimboarding
Our New Digital Camera (which we can take into the ocean)
Mike and Ella's Last Night
Surpise Visitor’s
Twenty20

Mark and Kim's Last night
Jazz In The Domain
The Hawkesbury River on a 32 Foot Boat (not a Houseboat)

I'll try and update the blog as soon as possible, but as you can imagine, it will take some time. And it's the Summer so evenings should be spent on the beach.

    Sounds good, Jonny.

Looking forward to reading your account of the Coogee to Bondi walk - mostly because I did that while I was in Sydney - but also spent time sitting at the beach rather than writing about it!

Is this blogging lark starting to feel like a bit of a chore, Jonny? Don't forget that you can always just pick out highlights!

Yes, Jonny, pick out the highlights. That'll be easy with 3000 photos, you trigger happy chappie...

Good luck... and we wish we were still there...

Yes, it does feel like a bit of a chore at the moment, especially as the Summer is here and time spent on the laptop should be kept to a minimum (that's my one and only New Years Resolution)! I think that I will try and keep each blog nice and short though, and use more pictures than words, or else you will all get very bored.

But I shall soldier on and publish what I can, when I can, and I'll enjoy doing it.

Mike - it goes without saying that we, and the rest of your Sydney fanbase (who were all singing yours and Ella's praises in the pub last night), wish you were both still here too!
