BrisVegas, the Sea Eagles and George Dubble Ya
Just a quick one to let you know that I went to Brisbane last week for a jolly up the river. I haven’t been to Brisbane for years so it was good to see the city again. It was a whistle stop trip as I flew up last Thursday, had a couple of meetings and a party, then back into the offices on Friday morning before flying back to Sydney. But it was a quality time all the same and going out with my colleagues is always excellent value.
It looks like the ladies of the night, and day, are up for the APEC summit as well!
And on Sunday I made it to Brooky Oval to watch Manly Sea Eagles play with a couple of mates from work. It was a scorcher, as I sat on the hill, drinking tins. Manly won the game but the second half highlight was when a guy decided to take on 6 coppers just a few feet away from me.
Spring is finally here and George Dubble Ya rocked into town yesterday for a series of meetings with a number of other world leaders. Sydney is in lockdown and I have to say I do feel sorry for those people who have spent their savings on a trip of a lifetime to Sydney this week. They get to see lots of ugly fences and even uglier concrete blocks. Sydneysiders are being given a public holiday on Friday in an attempt to keep as many people out of the city as possible so 6 of us are heading 3 hours north to Seal Rocks for a long weekend of surfing, snorkelling, sunbathing (hopefully) and good times.

Blimey, perhaps you should have stayed in Brisbane a bit longer. Can't believe they have to shut down a City for that muppet.
Howcome you didn't photograph or film the guy taking on six coppers? Are you lying again?

Remember all those dolphins when you 'forgot your camera'?
Never mind.

Aaaaah, yes, I see where you are coming from. But alas the dolphins, like the scrap with the coppers, were very much real.
