QF4: Brazil 0 France 1

H and I watched the second half in a bar at Circular Quay. I ate a huge burger and fries. It was a bit wierd considering it was 6am.

After the England game, and helping to calm down some guy who was in a bit of a state (losing at football, too much beer and a potential break up with his missus could only mean one thing), a few of us were in need of a drink. Given the fact we'd been on it since 6pm last night it seemed like the right thing to do. We ended up in 'The Underground' Bar in the City. It's a funny old place. Sydney is a 24 hours city so you can imagine the types of people who look for a drink at 4 or 5am. Anyway, we played some pool and tried to take in what happened.

Come 5.30am(ish) people began to make their way home. For H and I this meant getting back to Manly. The night buses had finished by this time so we walked to Circular Quay. There wasn't a ferry for an hour or so so we went into a bar and watched the football, ate a burger and drank coffee.

The sunrise over the harbour was gorgeous. We fell asleep on the Jet Cat.

France won the football. To be honest I don't care anymore. Just as long as Portugal don't win it.
